A huge well done to the class of 2019 who have achieved some excellent exam results and continued the year on year improvements in outcomes! There are a vast number of success stories for individuals and for Faculties that we are tremendously proud of. Attainment 8 has risen to 49.58, EBACC average point score improved to 4.45 and the number of 5+ in English and Maths has increased to 49%. Go Belper!!
Please be aware that from 2 September, the 71 bus service will be operating to a new timetable with changes to the morning service which our students use to come in to school. The 08:00 service from Derby will now call at the following stops at the times detailed below:

Belper School would like to congratulate all the 2019 cohort who have achieved some smashing results across a number of subjects. A number of measures are up on last year’s pleasing results and there have been some notable individual achievements, which have enabled students to successfully go on to the next stage in their life. We are delighted that their efforts and commitment are enabling them to fulfill their dreams and ambitions. We are proud of you!
Arrangements for students in Year 13
Students in Year 13 need to arrive in school at 1.00pm on Tuesday 3 September 2019 and report to the Sixth Form area.
Arrangements for students in Years 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12
School will re-open to students in these years on Wednesday 4 September 2019 when a staggered start will be in operation as follows:
- Year 7 students need to arrive at 8.40am and line up on the tennis courts (as they will do on the first induction day in July)
- Year 8 students need to arrive for 8.40am and report to their tutor base
- Year 9 students need to arrive for 9.20am and line up on the tennis courts
- Year 10 students need to arrive at 9.20am and report to their tutor base
- Year 11 students need to arrive for 9.45am and report to their tutor base
- Year 12 students need arrive for 9.00am and report to the Sixth Form area
Important: Any students arriving in school earlier due to transport reasons should report to SR1 where they will be supervised until the above times.

The Governing Body of Belper School and Sixth Form Centre is seeking nominations for two Co-opted Governor vacancies.
Co-opted Governors are appointed by the governing body, and the School requires that nominees have the desirable governor competencies as adopted by the Governing Body. Meetings usually take place on Thursday evenings at 6.30pm to 8.30pm (six Full Governor meetings plus committee meetings per year).
