At Belper School and Sixth Form Centre, we take great pride in our online offer and strive to give our students the best possible provision when they are not able to come into school.
Our primary remote learning offer is delivered through Google Classroom utilising other applications such as Documents, Sheets, Slides and Forms. Oak academy videos, BBC Bitesize clips and other website links such as MathsWatch are all uploaded to Google Classroom so tracking of tasks to complete is easier for students. The links provided will broadly follow the curriculum that is offered within school so that students do not fall behind while they are off school.
Accessing the Work
Students will have received an email inviting them to join the Remote Lesson class for their year group. Once they have accepted the invitation, they will be able to access the work that has been set for each of their lessons.
Click on the link below for each year group. Once in the class, click each subject to see the work.
Students should follow their usual timetable. Below are suggested times for lessons. These times are just a guide and we know it may not be possible for all students to follow the timings. They follow our usual day plan but are “rounded” a little to make the times easier to follow.
In the event of school closure, we may also use Google Meet where live activities can be presented by the teacher. Staff will send invites via Google Classroom or email when this is required.
