Belper School has done it yet again!!…building upon 6 years of continuous improvement setting new records for both attainment and progress.
Attainment is at its highest level since new courses and numeric grading were introduced, with half of all students achieving a “strong” grade (Grade 5+) in both English and Maths, and almost three-quarters achieving a “standard” grade (Grade 4+) in English and Maths. Amazingly, 46% of students achieved at least one grade 7 or above. Two students even achieved eight top grade 9s. Every single student in Year 11 achieved a grade in something.
With firm national data published, we can now confirm that Belper School secured outcomes someway above national averages on all measures in terms of both attainment and progress…results which place us firmly in the top ten performing schools in Derbyshire!
We would like to congratulate all students on their performances and thank parents for their role in supporting the school and helping the class of 2019 become record -breakers.
