Following Nick Goforth’s announcement that he will be retiring at the end of the Summer Term, the Governors concluded the appointment process for his replacement this week.
Interviews took place over a two-day period led by a team of 6 governors supported by Craig Yates, the school’s improvement lead.
We are pleased to announce that Ms Matilde Warden will be the new head teacher with effect from 1st September 2024. Matilde is the current Deputy Headteacher at Belper School and has significant experience at a senior level in a number of different roles.
We were impressed with Matilde’s vision for the school’s future and her substantial track record of improvements in a wide range of contexts, with a particular emphasis on curriculum development and teaching and learning.
