Open Evening

Our Sixth Form Open Evening will take place on Thursday 7th November 2024 from 5.30pm – 7.30pm

This evening is designed to provide you with:

An opportunity to find out all you need to know about the subjects available Post-16 at Belper School Sixth Form. Subject leaders will be available to discuss the course content, methods of assessment and outline the necessary skills and qualities that will be developed throughout their course.
The evening will begin with a presentation in the Main School Hall at 5.30 offering a brief overview of the options open to students at Belper School next year. A second presentation will be available at 6.15.
Richard Leach the School Careers Co-Ordinator will also be at the event. Richard can provide guidance on all options open to students after year 11 including alternative full-time education routes and apprenticeships.

The Post-16 Options Process represents an important stage in your future. Decisions that are made now will not only determine what you will study during the next few years but may affect what you can study at university and have an impact upon your future career options. Your decisions therefore need careful research and careful consideration. The school will offer what guidance and support we can, but your option choices are ultimately yours to make. If you have a particular career or degree course in mind you should take steps to investigate what subjects are required or recommended and use this to help formulate a decision.
