As a school we aim to ensure that all students gain the help, support and guidance they need before, during and even after their stay with us. One element of this process is to make you aware of the subject choices available Post-16 within the school’s Sixth Form.
The Post-16 Options Process represents an important stage in your future. Decisions that are made now will not only determine what you will study during the next few years but may affect what you can study at university and have an impact upon your future career options. Your decisions therefore need careful research and careful consideration. The school will offer what guidance and support we can, but your option choices are ultimately yours to make. If you have a particular career or degree course in mind you should take steps to investigate what subjects are required or recommended and use this to help formulate a decision.
Open Evening
This evening is designed to provide you with:

An opportunity to find out all you need to know about the subjects available Post-16 at Belper School Sixth Form. Subject leaders will be available to discuss the course content, methods of assessment and outline the necessary skills and qualities that will be developed throughout their course.

The evening will begin with a presentation in the Main School Hall offering a brief overview of the options open to students at Belper School next year.
In order to make the evening more personal and manageable we have arranged two separate presentation sessions:
Session 1 at 5.30pm: for Tutor Groups 11EKP, 11BRS, 11JNG, 11PSM
Session 2 at 6.10pm: for Tutor Groups 11PEH, 11SBT, 11SJH
If you are unable to make the time above please come to the other session. Students from other schools can join in either session.

Richard Leach the School Careers Co-Ordinator will also be at the event. Richard can provide guidance on all options open to students after year 11 including alternative full-time education routes and apprenticeships.
